COVID-19 and the associated social isolation helped our generation to realise that whilst some work can be done remotely, complete physical isolation from work and friends has an impact on our wellbeing. If our workplaces have been focusing on not injuring us, and giving us ways of being aware of and dealing with mental illness, why don’t people feel well?

In 1946 the World Health Organisation cited that the health of a person is more than simply the absence of physical and mental illness. As well as the treatment of ailments, positive health improvement (above the basic survival needs) in those areas and emotional literacy are important to employee wellbeing.

Mindfulness offers a simplistic and inclusive approach, that anyone and everyone can apply. No lycra, no mandatory stillness or rules, just freedom to observe and guidance to do so non-judgmentally.
